I love the Cardinals in this one tonight as we continue our winning ways on our POD’s.  Cards send turned starter from reliever Mclellan to the mound once again as he is 2-0 with a 1.89 ERA.  Now he faced the NL team leading in runs in the Reds, but he has been very good vs. the Reds over his career as a reliver as the Reds have 47 combined at bats with a .191 average and .631 ops.  This is a heated rivalry and both teams are really going to be going all out as they realize they will be battling out the division through the summer.  Cardinals are #2 in the league in runs scored right behind the Reds and they are #1 vs. RHP in average .306 and OPS .834 and they’ll face Edison Volquez who they are very familiar with. Pujols is 3-7 with 4 walks and 2 HR off him and collectively they have a .343 average and a 1.077 OPS.  Volquez problem has been the first inning where he has given up 13 of his 17 runs in his last 4 starts.  I throw that stat out the window in reality the Cardinals are strong up and down the line up with a healthy Berkman to give Holliday and Pujols a third punch in the line up and the Cardinals can score runs in bunches as we have seen.  Cardinals have dominated this series at home going 41-17 in the Reds last 58 meetings and I think it continues Friday night.

Giants +104 2** Dog of the Day
This is a tough trip for Atlanta after playing yesterday in extra innings vs. the Dodgers now they stay out west to visit the Giants.  They go up against Madison Bumgarner for the first time and I think the offense will continue to struggle they are #27 in runs scored vs. LHP and #29 in OPS with .573 and a .205 average.  The Giants will look to rough up Tommy Hanson for the first time tonight and I give the giants a better chance at winning.
