Michigan has to run the ball and reduce the number of possessions in this game. Oregon’s defensive weakness is vs. the run so I think Michigan can have some success on offense to move the chains. Oregon ranks outside of the top 50 in ypc allowed, and rushing success rate allowed, and now they go on the road in hopes to stop a power run game with a QB’s that can also run. Michigan has no threat of the pass so Oregon may be able to hold it in check, but I’m thinking MIchigan can shorten this game and make it ugly.
Oregon’s offense should be able to move the ball, but are they motivated to win by margin? This will be their first road game against a good defense, which is something Oregon has yet to face this year as their road games are against Oregon State, UCLA, and Purdue. I think this is a big ask to go on the road and win by margin against Michigan by 2+ TD’s.
