UTEP's head coach Dana Dimel has continued to improve this team each year, and after a 6-1 start last year they finished 7-5, but got those ever important bowl practices. This could be his best team yet, and they are very strong in the trenches where it matters. They have a very strong OL, and arguably the best defensive line in the conference. North Texas has a very depleted defensive line, and under Seth Littrell are just 33-47 ATS vs. conference opponents. I like UTEP as a home dog to open the season trying to prove that last year's season was not a fluke!
