Early game this afternoon between the Mariners and Royals. Mariners will throw J. Washburn out there who has a 2.97era on the season. Royals have had success in 149 total AB batting .322 and with a .888Ops. Washburn has had an excellent start of the season, but as history shows he usually starts April with a solid era and regresses from there by more than a run in May. KC has hit LHP hard at .281 overall .296 at home and .338 in the last 5 innings.
Mariners last 5 games vs. RHP is averaging just 2.77 runs per 9innings. IN fact they are also averaging just 2.73 runs per 27 outs during the day compared to the Royals 4.33 runs per 27 outs during the day. Bannister will get his 4th start of the year as he has always been solid early on, but then suffers from dead arm the rest of the season. I think Bannister has one or two more quality starts in him left! He was 6-3 at home last year and SEA is just 14/55 with a .255avg against him!
