Anyway, tonight's game will be on the Twins vs. A's.
The A's will host the struggling Twins who are on the west coast trip playing on back to back days on the west coast. This is a late start for them here tonight at 10:05pm and they are just 7-18 on the road if you remember. Oakland is hot right now with 6 wins in a row and they will have Outman going today who has been very good this year.
Twins 4-9 last 13 in OAK, 2-11 last 13 as a dog. They will start one of their top prospects Anthony Swarzak. Swarzak has not pitched on the road yet this season. He has a 1.47 whip and a 4.76 era so far in 3 starts all at home. Take out the game vs. NL he has 10IP 14H 9ER 4BB in 2 starts vs. AL. Swarzak is likely not to stay in the lineup in 2008 he had 3-8 record with 5.76 ERA in AA. He did however pitch well in AAA with a 1.80 ERA, but seemed a little lucky with 84.3% LOB. Oakland has been hitting RHP in their recent run quite well 7.36 runs per 9 innings in their last 5 games vs. RHP.
A's will start Outman who has a 1.10 whip and a 2.57 ERA last 3 starts he has been consistent on the road and at home. He has 4 GS @ home with a 3.22 ERA. The Twins have faced back to back LHP and continue to struggle wiht a .244 avg and 2.98 runs per 9 in their last 10. The A's are 18-6 in their last 24 vs. RHP.
