Twins took down the Tigers in Game 1 and while it is very hard to sweep a double header I think they get it done behind their lefty Brian Duensing who has pitched extremely well this year. He was in the bullpen, but now starting and as a starter he has a 2.06 ERA in 8 starts with a 5-0 record.

Going for the Tigers is their ace Justin Verlander, thus the inflated line on the game. I do not believe he is all of a sudden going to pitch well against a team that he has not pitched well against in the past. Tigers are 0-3 this year when Verlander pitches vs. Twins and they are 2-7 in his last 9 starts vs. the Twins. Mauer has a close to .400 average in 33 AB, while Cabrera, Kubel, Span, and Young have all had a lot of success vs. him. Also this is the most innings Verlander has pitched in his career. In the past this is his worst ERA month next to August. In the last three years he has a 4.73 ERA in the month of September compared to a 5.50 in August.

Major advantage for the bullpens has to go to the Twins if you are looking at what they have done. In the last 10 games the Twins have a 2.27 ERA while the Tigers have a 4.72 ERA.
