The Red Sox are a tough team to beat at home during day games and the stats don't lie this early in the season. The Nationals are 15-37 in their last 52 interleague games as an underdog and the Red Sox have dominated the NL East over the past few years. It's a good time to take advantage of the Nationals not having their full line up still. Anthony Rendon is still not play and he was 6-9 vs. Wade Miley who will start for Boston today.

Miley however, has more impressive stats than the bigger name in this match up Gio Gonzalez. Miley has put up a 3.36 ERA over the last 3 years in April while Gio has put up 3.50. Miley has 2.85 ERA during his 21 day starts over that time frame compared with Gio's 4.15. Miley also has a 2.52 ERA in 4 starts vs. the Nationals. Boston is in the top 10 already this year in OPS vs. LHP while the Nationals are 29th with a .435 OPS. Boston also has a .916 OPS during day games which ranks them 4th compared with the Nationals who are 23rd with a .546 OPS during day games. I just expect Boston to come out and win again here as both bullpens have been pretty strong, but were worked hard in yesterdays game.
