I like the Jazz here and the public are pounding the Lakers who just beat up on these Jazz 4 days ago 101-77. Lakers as dogs normally is a good bet, but not here in my opinion.
The Lakers have to travel and lose an hour on 0 days rest they are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 on 0 days rest including 1-2 ATS this year. They score their least amount per game on 0 days and give up the most. Now they normally aren't dogs, but keep in mind they were 2-4 ATS last year following a home game and traveling on 0 days rest. 1 loss was to Utah 109-113 and the other to Denver 79-90. Why I mention Denver is that it's a similar trip of losing an hour and playing at high altitude. Actually the Lakers made that trip earlier this year on 0 days rest they traveled to play the Nuggets and lost 79-105. The previous game they played the Suns and the starters racked up an average 29.4 minutes a piece. So they should have been relatively rested the next day right? Well this time around they will have Gasol on the 0 day rest but the starters logged an average 32.6 minutes and it came at a cost as Kobe fractured his finger and will have to play with a splint. It didn't seem to affect him but after the game he did admit he had to change his shot a bit which should have an impact some what.
Utah has played extremely well with the exception of that loss in LA which they will try to take revenge on. Actually the Jazz led by 4 at halftime in that game, but fell apart in the 2nd half. They rebounded against the sizzling Jazz and are now 6-0 SU and ATS in their last 6 home games with Against the spread margin of victories by an average of 9 points. They are also 20-5-1 ATS when they are favorites at home .5-4.5 points. This will be the Lakers 5th road game of the year they have played 81% of their games at home and it should be a little different for this team. Utah is 9-3 straight up on 1 dday rest and 7-5 ATS they average their most points and play their best defense in this situation as I mentioned the Lakers play their worst on 0 days rest.
