I am going with the A's here today and fading the Indians who have not played well on the road going 4-22 in their last 26. They haven't been able to hit a lick vs. LHP and I think they will struggle here again against Gio Gonzalez. They are hitting .189 on the year vs. LHP scoring just 2.36 R/9. They are 3-11 in their last 14 vs. LH starter and they are just 8-23 in their last 31 in Oakland. They send Masterson to the mound who has one start @ Oakland where he went 4 innings allowing 10 runners on base and 5 ER. Masterson had a 5.81 ERA on the road in 8 game starts.
Gonzalez haspitched well thus far and has 2 wins in 2 starts vs. the Indians. He's backed by a line up that has produced when they've had to and that's why they have a surprising winning record. The A's are scoring 4.54 rusn per 9 vs. RHP this year and have a .248 average which is not great, but miles away from the Indians production vs. Lefties. The A's are 12-2 in their last 14 as favs -110 to -150.
This line has moved like crazy and I can't help but bight on it as the Rangers are 8-2 in their last 10 as favorites -110 to -140. Colby Lewis is 2-0 this year with a 3.12 ERA while Porcello has really struggled early with a 1.76 WHIP and 6.46 ERA. The Tigers are just 1-6 in his last 7 road starts.
