Eveland has struggled as of late for the Blue Jays as he's got a 6.91 ERA in his last three games. The A's have never faced him because he was one of their hurlers last year. That usually is not an advantage for either team both the pitcher and hitters can make adjustments. In this case I give the A's an advantage because Eveland has struggled.
The A's send a lefty of their own in Gio Gonzalez who I feel has pitched well this year and is in a spot early on Saturday to pitch a gem. The Blue Jays are 0-4 in their last 4 vs. LH starter but they are far worse than that as they are hitting just 1.74 off LHP this year and are scoring 1.89 runs per 9 off lefties. Their bullpen is not pitching well with a 5.02 season ERA. Gonzalez on the other hand is backed with a 3.70 BP ERA. 43% of the public are on the A's and the line has moved from +117 to +103 and even as favorites on some books.
