Kyle Kendrick will make a very important start for the Phillies here as he may be headed to AAA if he does not win. Kendrick has not pitched well, but now he faces a Cardinal team he has had success with in the past including a 3-0 record with a 2.25 ERA. Penny on the other hand is 0-3 with umpire McClelland behind the plate and started to show his true side in his last game. The public should be all over Penny based on how these two have pitched this year, but the line has moved the other way and I think Kendrick is the reason why. Add in that the Phillies are 11-1 in their last 12 as a dog +110 to +150 and you get a lot of value here.
You've got Cook who has been awful on the road, but has been ridiculous against the Padres including a 2.14 ERA @ SD last year with a 2-1 record. Clayton Richard will pose some issues for the Rockies as he has a great start against them already this year. The Rockies as under dogs go under the total 38-18-5 in their last 61 games as an under dog. If they aren't winning it's because of a solid performance by the opposing pitcher. That's the case tonight in a pitcher friendly park. Think the line has moved towards SD because of Cook's poor performance on the road? Think again because the total opened at 7.5 and moved to 7.
