Really believe the public is wrong for a third game going against the Mets with their best starter on the mound. The Mets have been great at home as they are 16-5 in their last 21 and 18-9 on the season. Pelfrey is one of the main reasons why as he has a 2.86 ERA at home and he's been even better at night with a 1.85 ERA on the year. Pelfrey really wants to rebound against the Phillies as he was rocked twice in his last 2 match ups both at Philly. In his career at home vs. the PHils he's 3-2 with a 3.19 ERA. The Phillies right now are really struggling and Pelfrey is not a guy you want to face while your struggling. Philly 1.64 runs per 9 in their last 5 overall and are hitting .225 1.14/9 vs. RHP.
The Mets on the other hand have enjoyed a lot of success against LHP and Cole Hamels when he visits. Hamels has two starts at Citi Field and they have not been good 10 IP giving up 21 hits and 8 ER. The way the Mets are starting to swing the bats have them looking like the Mets of old. The main reason Jose Reyes and he just seems locked in right now which is a good way to get runs on the board. Mets at home this year vs. LHP are batting .320 with a 6.04 runs per 9 vs. RHP and of course have a 2.54 BP ERA. Mets are 4-1 in their last 5 vs. a LH starter.
