Twins continue to play great baseball on the road against other opponents other than the AL East.  Blackburn who was perfect in May with a 5-0 record and 2.65 ERA has four career starts vs. the Mariners and will go for the Twins tonight.  Seattle continues to struggle against RHP and I believe they will again here.  The Twins go up against Vargas who has been solid at home, but the Twins have hit LHP well and have a .288 average 7.43 runs per 9 in their last 5.  Seattle on the other hand has a .218 average vs. RHP with just 2.93 runs per 9 vs. RHP.  The bullpen advantage also goes to the Twins here as they are hot right now with a 0.73 ERA while Seattle has a 6.00 bullpen ERA.  I like the value we get here despite Vargas pitching well I’m going with the hot line up and the Twins overall have hit nearly triple the amount of home runs in their road games than at home.

I like the Dodgers as they send Ely to the mound again.  He has a 2.18 ERA over his last 5 starts and has pitched great.  Arizona can’t say the same for their pitching at all and now the hitters are starting to struggle as well.  Bottom line they don’t hit righties as well and are 8-22 in their last 30 meetings with the Dodgers.  They carry a .179 average over their last 5 vs. RHP and 2.09 runs per 9 with a  9.82 bullpen ERA.  The hitting surprises me as they got some pop, but the bullpen does not they already have the league’s worst bullpen and that gives a significant advantage to the Dodgers.  We get a lot of value because Haren is going for the Dbacks, but he’s been awful in my opinion 1-3 with a 7.92 ERA over his last 4 starts and he is just 1-4 vs. the Dodgers career wise as the Dodgers combined have a .303 average in 323 AB.
