Another tough loss to swallow last night on our POD which is 2 in a row, but I have shown over the last 50 plays I have been able to come back from those. Tonight will be no different and if you purchased last nights losing POD you would have lost only .25 units as my 3-Dime oddsline error play on the Mets +125 was a winner. The Mets have been clearly the best home team over the last month or two. 21-5 record in their last 26 doesnât seem close to stopping after last nightâs game. The Tigers will have their hands full with the resurgent knuckle baller R.A. Dickey. The Mets however have all the value in this one as they go up against Jeremy Bonderman. The Mets who have gotten it done vs. lefties all year are starting to kill righties and over their last 5 they are scoring 6.60 per 9 innings and their bullpen has been dominant with a 0.68 ERA. Tigers have struggled a bit vs. RHP and the bullpen has let them down particularly last night. In two game starts vs. the Mets Bonderman has 11 IP and 9 ER though that was years ago Bonderman seems to have been a better pitcher then than he is now. Bonderman has not pitched well on the road or at night time this year. In fact heâs got a 6.03 ERA away this year and a 5.26 ERA at night. His last 3 starts are good for a 5.03 ERA. The Mets should be able to hit and if they do that and Dickey continues to stay consistent they should win this game. Dickey though has been more consistent with a 4-0 2.30 ERA during night starts and a 2-0 2.19 ERA at home. He last pitched vs. the Tigers in 2008 where he was successful 6 IP 4 hits and 2 ER. However, this is a much different Dickey he seems to be throwing in the mid 80âs to upper 80âs and his knuckle ball has crazy movement. This may just be the definition of a âcareer year.â Tigers are 1-8 in their last 9 games with Bonderman on the hill vs. a winning team and 3-7 in his last 10 as a dog. Overall the Tigers donât like playing as dogs in inter league play as they are 18-39 in their last 57. While the Mets 17-7 in their last 24 as favorites -110 to -150.
