On Friday I went against Lincecum and David Price two ace type pitchers and I won as I backed the under dog. Today will be no different as I fade Cliff Lee who will go up against a Tiger team that just kills left handed pitching. Lee has been more ordinary than dominant against the Tigers as he's 2-4 in the last two years with a 3.86 ERA in 6 starts. The Tigers in 194 AB combined have a .273 average and .754 OPS which is not great by any standards, but is enough to get the job done as Jeremy Bonderman has been excellent at home with a 2.41 ERA and he's 3-1 with a 2.87 ERA during day starts.
Mariners still struggle to hit the ball and are 6-22 in their last 28 after allowing 5 runs or more in their last game. They are 7-20 in their last 27 vs. a RH starter and Detroit is 63-30 in their last 93 home games including 45-21 in their last 66 vs. a LH starter. At home they are averaging 6.33 runs per 9 vs. LHP and .303 average. IN their last 10 though they have 8.00 runs per 9 vs. LHP.
