I think this is a good match up for Maryland primarily because they have been excellent vs. the run ranking 26th in ypc, and their offense is able to pass the ball with Billy Edwards ranking top 50 in QB rating against some tough defenses. Minnesota since the 2022 season vs. good run defenses is just 4-7 averaging 15.1 points per game, and when their defense faces a good passing attack over that ime they are 2-4 allowing 32.5 points per game. Minnesota when favored at home and they don’t score 27+ points are just 10-38-1 ATS. It’s also not like Minnesota has been super dominant running the ball this year ranking 97th in ypc, while Maryland’s been better in third down defense and offense as well. Maryland will face a top pass defense, but they have done well so far putting up 28 and 29 points vs. top pass defenses.
