Metrically I have both of these teams a bit better than a season ago when they faced off int he Mountain West Championship. I have Boise improving a bit more, and Boise was a 2.5 point favorite and won and really dominated 44-20. The run defenses are the key here, and Boise State ranks 8th in ypc, and UNLV ranks 55th. Boise is just an overall better team, and their fans travel well. They also don't turn the ball over ranking 14th in % of possessions ending in a turnover, and are the far better thid down offense ranking 5th compared to UNLV ranking 119th. Boise also an explosive offense ranking 3rd in the country, while UNLV's defense ranks 101st in explosive defense.
