East Carolina +5 2.2% play

I did not come away overly impressed by Memphis last week, even though we bet them and they covered over SMU it was a bit of a struggle.  This week they face a gritty East Carolina team, that is hungry for their 6^th win and bowl eligibility.  East Carolina has played well on the road.  They had a 16-10 lead at UCF and lost 20-16, they beat Marshall on the road, they were tied with Houston 24-24 late in the 4^th quarter and outgained them by over 100 yards.  East Carolina matches up extremely well in the fact that Memphis relies on their passing game ranking 18^th in epa pass, and that’s what East Carolina does well defensively ranking 19^th in epa pass defense. They are a very impressive 20^th overall in success rate defense and have held opponents to 35.73% on third down.  Memphis has struggled to take care of the ball all year ranking 105^th in % of offensive possessions ending in a TO, while East Carolina’s defense ranks 6^th.  I think this game will be a battle much like East Carolina’s other road games at UCF, Marshall, and Houston, a trio of teams you could say are better than Memphis.
