Washington -17.5 2.2% play
This is just a great match up for Washington in my opinion and they sit at 2-4 and will want a convincing win to help with their team confidence and get back into bowl game discussion. Washington's offensive #'s are low, because their posessions have been limited facing opponents that are run first and good at running in UCLA, Oregon St, Cal, and Michigan who are all outside the top 65 in seconds per play. Arizona ranks 26th in seconds play, which is not a good thing when you are bad on offense. Arizona also will be starting Will Plumber at QB, and it's a huge drop off.
Plumber will have to go up against a very good defense that is well coached in the secondary. Plubmer's starts against San Diego State and Colorado, a combined 15-34 passing 180 total yards. Arizona is also turning the ball over 18.5% of their posessions which ranks 121st. They are also not forcing turnovers, which will help Washington here, because they have turned the ball over, but going up against a defense that has only managed TO's on 4% of opposing offenses posessions. Washington also gets to go up against a bad defense here rankign 106th in ypp, 108th in rush , and 109th in pass defense. This game reminds me of the Arkansas State game where Arkansas State lost 52-3 to WAshington. Arkansas State similarly loves to run fast, and can't play defense.
