Auburn +7 -125 3.5% play buy the hook
The Aggies have a lot of pressure here being the #5 ranked team in the country, and you could argue that Auburn does not care about this game, but I think the chance to knock off a top 5 team is definitely something that gets players attention. Kellen Mond on the road over his career has not been great. Before this year he threw 14 TD's and 16 INT's on the road, while this year he has a 9-2 ratio, 2 of his 3 opponents pass defenses have been historically bad. Miss State ranks 101st in pass defense and South Carolina ranks 122nd. Auburn has not been great, but they do force turnovers.
Bo Nix is a completely different QB at home vs. on the road, and I expect him to play and keep this game close. Nix has receivers and the fact that AM has not played good defense in the red zone should allow for Auburn to put TD's on the board. A&M has many red flags in their statistical profile, like the fact that they have faced on average 87th ranked rushing offense, and their offense on average has faced an average 78th ranked defense. A&M has the results on the scoreboard, but I'm not convinced that the talent gap is this large. Also worht noting ist he fact that the Aggies under Jimbo Fisher like to play slow, and they don't often win with margin against good teams. They are also 0-2 vs. Auburn since Fisher took over both were close games. I'm expecting another one that comes down to the wire.
