Nebraska +3.5 2.5% play
Both of these teams had misleading losses a week ago, but Penn State’s was worse as a 4TD dog, they barely outgained Maryland and lost outright 35-19. Nebraska lost to Northwestern as a dog, and should have won, they had a 28-14 first down edge +125 yards, but in the second half they had 3 drives end inside the 25 yard line of Northwestern and they came up with 0 points. Northwestern is the same team that crushed Maryland 43-3, the same Maryland team that just beat Penn State. Now both teams played Ohio State and Penn State’s final score looks a bit better while they played them at home, but watching those games Nebraska actually looked like the better team to me.
Penn State also lost their two starting RB’s in Noah Cain and Journey Brown, their best defensive player opted out before the season. One would ask if this team will lay down and quit? I also don’t see Sean Clifford as a guy that can carry a team and Penn State is -5 TO margin on the season.
