South Carolina +4 3.3% play
I think there is some value with the Gamecocks when you figure that they were a road favorite last year. Granted, they lost teh game 41-21, and we were on Tennessee for that game, but you can't argue the line value we are getting with South Carolina. Tennessee is getting a lot of hype for how they finished last season, and I'm not going to totally buy in. For one they have had a ton of COVID issues int he offseason, and did not practice in the spring. The last two years they have opened the season with surprising lopsided losses, including last year against Georgia State.
South Carolina brings in a new offensive coordinator Mike Bobo, and with him he brings a QB Collin HIll who knows his system. I think this helps the South Carolina offense tremendously. On the flip side Tennessee is going to have issues on offense. THey'll have a great offensive line, but what are they going to do with it with no QB? Jimmy G, the bad one, lost his top two WR, that bailed him out countless times last year, as they grabbed 14 of the 19 TD's. This is an offense that ranked 84th in the nation in success rate. Will Muschamp will have his defense ready, and don't be surprised if they pull out the outright upset. 7 of the last 8 meetings between these two have been decided by less than a TD.
