Twins are red hot right now with their bats and I'll back them again here tonight against Bruce Chen. Chen has a 7.20 ERA in his last 3 starts and in his one start vs. Minnesota this year he gave up 5 ER in 6.1 IP while surrendering 10 hits. Pavano on the other side has been the Twins ace and he's 6-3 with a 3.04 ERA away. In his last two starts one @KC (7IP 4 hits 2 ER) and one at home 8 IP 2 ER Pavano was excellent against the Royals. The Royals have struggled over their last 10 with a 10.38 bullpen ERA. Minnesota is hitting .373 in their last 5 vs. LHP and .317 over their last 10. Twins are 41-19 in their last 60 vs. AL Central and are 35-16 in their last 51 when visiting the Royals. Pavano is 9-4 when facing a losing team in his last 13 while the Royals are 17-43 in their last 60 game #2's and 50-103 in their last 153 games vs. a starter with a WHIP less than 1.15.

pretty clear cut here we got two starters that have had injuries this year that can be considered their teams aces. Gallardo has had more games this year and I trust him at home the way the Brewers are hitting right now. Volquez making just his 3rd start is going to take a bit longer to establish his control in my opinion. Gallardo is 4-3 with a 2.80 ERA at home and is 7-0 wtih a 1.43 ERA during night starts. Milwaukee is scoring 5.25 runs per 9 vs. RHP over their last 10 games while the Reds are at 4.06. Milwaukee's bullpen has been surprisingly good as well and Volquez has struggled in 3 of his 4 career starts vs. the Brewers where in 3 of the four he allowed 15 ER over 15.2 IP for an ERA just under 9.00.
