The break from college basketball provided a nice win yesterday on Kansas State. We are now 8-6 ATS on the year in college basketball POD's. We are still backing these plays with 3 Days to NCAAB POD's absolutely free if we lose this pick. We are very confident in our plays and today we are giving out a 3.5 Dime NCAAB POD.
Uconn has a good history against the SEC as they are 8-3 ATS in their last 11. SEC is still down after sending just three teams to the NCAA Tournament and I believe the Big East sent 7 or 8 of which 2 were in the Final Four. Uconn already took care of LSU 81-55 as 6 point favorites and they have three key players returning from last year. Uconn is still flying under the radar as they lost a lot from their team a year ago, but they start a point guard sophmore Kemba Walker who is quicker and more elusive than A.J. Price, while Stanley Robinson returns with a more key role and their best scorer from a year ago Jerome Dyson who got hurt at the end of the year.
Uconn plays solid defense as does Kentucky, but experience is on the side of Uconn in terms of the key three players used to playing with each other from Uconn and they will play at MSG which believe it or not is very much like a home game for the Huskies. They have already played here twice and they play here in the Big East tournament every year. Uconn is hungry after losing to Duke here at MSG and should be well prepared and motivated for this one.
Patrick Patterson 6'9 235 has been solid alongside John Wall, but he won't get his normal 16 and 10 here tonight. The Huskies despite the departure of Thabeet and Adrien have three guys who can man the middle that either are taller or the same height weighing more. Gavin Edwards is 6'10 and can block shots while Charles Okwandu Alex Oriakhi should provide issues for Patterson making the key for Uconn to be one thing defend the perimeter.
