Cardinals -141 4.5* MLB POD
I like the fact that the odds have dropped considerably towards our favor here and that gives us a bit more value on this game. First of all it's hard to fade the Cardinals when they face RHP as they are 25-9 in their last 34 vs. RH starters, but Mike Fiers has some pretty good stats against the Cards. However, in 2 starts this year it appears the Cardinals are finally figuring him out. He was very lucky to only give up 3 ER in 9.2 IP while allowing 19 base runners. The Cardinals stats are superior vs. RHP compared with the Brewers stats that are below average vs. LHP and the bullpen advantage is on the Cardinals side as well.

Matt Holliday is in the line up tonight as well so I see no reason to fade the Cards here. Jaime Garcia is even on extra rest and faces a Brewers club that is 27th in OPS vs. LHP. Garcia has also held this club to a .617 OPS and a .239 batting average. The Brewers have struggled for a while now when playing the Cardinals and I do not expect it to be any different tonight.
