Although the Marlins send Volstad to the mound who has been inconsistent in his career, I really like him to make a quality start as he has been solid all year long. Houston is hitting .204 vs. RHP this year, but the do get Berkman back tonight which should be interesting. Houston has just a .235 average in 34 AB vs. Volstad over two career starts. Volstad has started the year with two quality games and last year he pitched better on the road than he did at home. Florida has a better bullpen by 1.90 runs and they have a .277 avg and 5.92 R/9 vs. RHP and have killed Myers over his career.
Myers will start and it's been a struggle this year despite his 3.46 ERA. He's given up a ton of his this year and a .756 OPS in 13 IP. He's coming off a quality start vs. the Cardinals and that doesn't impress me given how the Cards have struggled to swing the bat. Myers has a 7.96 ERA in his last 7 starts vs. the Marlins and collectively they have 129 AB 8 HR and a .341 average including Uggla who has a .378 average and 5 HR. Though the Astros have won 3 of 4 and get Berkman back I think the Marlins are just too good.
