I am now 11-5 in my last 16 MLB POD's hitting last night on our under dog POD and I'm not nearly satisfied, not even close! I am determined to continue picking winners all year long and I feel a longer hot streak is in order. Tonight join me at 8pm for my MLB POD, I got a pitcher who we have heard from before in this match up and is ready to be heard from again! Don't miss out it's guaranteed.

I like the way Peavy has thrown in his last three starts he has walked just 2 batters while striking out 22. The opponents have a .171 average against and now he goes up against hte Angels who haven't seen him since 2006 and have just 35 AB with a .171 average. The Angels on the other hand send up Ervin Santanna who the White Sox know very well with 125 AB and a .320 average with a .922 OPS against. Santanna's last three starts vs. the White Sox was not good giving up 13 ER in 14 IP which included 21 hits and 8 BB's.

Now I feel Santana won't be that bad, but Peavy will be that good. A 2.31 ERA in his last three starts and it looks like he is coming back to his former shape which I felt would take a while. Add in the fact the Angels bullpen has been awful and has a 6.15 ERA on the road this year and are7-12 I believe the White Sox win this game.

Maholm starts at home where he has a 3.65 ERA over the last three years. Milwaukee has had some issues vs. lefties and are 0-9 in their last 9 games. It's mostly in part to the bullpen that has a 10.25 ERA in their last 3 games and 6.19 ERA on the year. That is bad news when you have Narverson a reliever starting for you today. Narverson the lefty has not gone more than 6 IP all year and that's big time trouble when you got a bullpen that is struggling. Add in the fact that the Pirates have a .301 average and are scoring 5.62 runs per 9 in their last 5 vs. LHP and I'm pretty confident with this play. Maholm has had solid starts vs. Milwaukee going 7+ in each of his last two starts while giving up a combined 5 ER for an ERA of 3.08.
