It’s funny I’m 4-0 in the last three days in my non POD plays, but 0-3 on POD’s thus the negative profit.  Tonight I’ll come with two plays again the first one being on the Twins as I really like the move the Twins made to allow Brian Duensing to start here.  Although he’s limited to 60-80 pitches I think he’ll have a big impact on tonight’s game he’s got a 1.67 ERA this season in the bullpen and this is a guy who was 5-1 in 9 starts in his rookie year with a 2.73 ERA in 2009.  Duensing is a lefty and the Orioles have really struggled big time with lefties as they are 14-37 in their last 51 vs. LHP and 24-50 in their last 74 home games vs. LHP.  Twins are 17-8 in their last 25 meetings and 9-3 in their last 12 in Baltimore.  Jeremy Guthrie will make the start for the O’s.

Guthrie has fared well ERA wise vs. the Twins, but the Twins are hot right now with a .319 average and 6.29 R/9 vs. RHP in their last 5 and 5.66 in their last 10!  O’s just 1.42 runs per 9 vs. LHP in their last 5 and 3.56 in their last 10.  Cuddyer/Kubel/Mauer/Hudson have a combined 32 AB vs. Guthrie which they have a .406 average the rest of the Twins team have struggled in limited at bats.  I expect the Twins to get a few runs off Guthrie which should hold as he’s 0-6 with a 5.70 ERA in his last 9 starts.

I like Narverson the lefty going in this spot because the Nationals have just 11 combined at bats.  Brewers also for whatever reason have played better at night and have been playing .500 ball for a while now while the Nationals are just 16-28 since June 1st.   Stammen is 1-3 with a  6.15 ERA on the road this year and the Brewers have 22 AB and a .364 average.  Stammen had the same struggles in 2009 after he pitched around the same number of innings.  Milwaukee scoring 5.62 runs per 9 vs. RHP and with a .293 average.  Nationals are 2-9 in Stammen’s last 11 as an under dog while the Brewers are 4-1 in Narverson’s last 5 as a favorite -110 to -150.
