Last three days have been more frustrating than I can remember, because the pitchers I have backed in Ian Kennedy, Kuroda, and Josh Johnson who combined to throw 22 IP giving up just 16 hits and 5 ER for an ERA of 2.04 ERA. The problem for us was the Diamondbacks, Dodgers, and Marlins all got shut out out losing 2-0, 3-0, and 2-0. Today we don't find that issue as we are going with a team that can hit and will hit! Our scoreless streak should end today.

Rockies are just 4.5 out of the division and 5 out of the wild card and I believe they have just as good of a chance to get in as any and it will be because of their pitching down the stretch Chacin is just another young pitcher who can pitch that is starting to put it together more consistently with a 0.90 ERA in his last 3 starts. He'll have to be on top of his game on Tuesday and I think he will against the Reds who have never faced the young right hander.

Cueto goes for the Reds and he's been solid on the road 6-2 with a 3.17 ERA, but he faces a line up that hits RHP with a .304 average and 6.32 runs per 9 on the season at home. Looking over the teams he's faced he has faced a lot of poor teams on the road this year. The games he struggled are against lefty heavy clubs like the Dodgers. I believe he's going to struggle with the Rockies especiall Cargo who deserves to be in the talks of NL MVP. Rockies in their last 5 are averaging 7.17 runs per 9 while the Reds have 4.30. Reds always struggle with the Rockies as they are just 6-20 in their last 26 match ups in Colorado.
