Fabulous weekend with 6-1 in college and 4-0 since Thursday in NFL don't miss tonight play of the day with the chiefs and chargers late guaranteed!

Really like the Chiefs to surprise some people and it starts Monday night with a new stadium and the 2nd year for Matt Cassel which should be better than most expect.  I really expect him to get it out to his play makers and expect him to get better with Weis back as his offensive coordinator as the Chiefs have the old duo from the Patriots days with Crennel at defense and Weis on the offensive end.

Chargers have several issues going into this game.  One being that their strength of passing the ball will not be as good against the Chiefs for 4 different reasons.  They will be without their best WR and starting LT for contract reasons as Marcus mcNeill and Vincent Jackson won’t be playing.  The Chiefs have gotten way better on defense with Eric Berry and Javier Arenas added to the secondary.  Both are play makers and I won’t be surprised if one of them has an impact on this game.

Chiefs have the strength of being able to run the ball in this game to.  The addition of Thomas Jones and the improvement from Charles should give the Chargers a lot of problems.  Chargers ranked 20th against the run last season and are without Merriman tonight most likely.  That will have an impact in the passing game too.
The Chargers have improved in one area and that’s the running game with addition to Fresno State stud Ryan Mathews who was a stud in the pre season to 34 carries for 146 yards.  I expect him to have a big game, but in the end it will be the Chiefs in a shocking Monday night win in my opinion.  This game will be kept close regardless and I don’t think you’ll see the Chargers running away with it like they did a year ago.  Expect more of what happened in 2008 with the Chiefs losing both games by a combined 2 points.  Chargers always start off slow and this reminds me of the Texans Colts game yesterday.  The Chiefs have an easy schedule and can really get started with a win here tonight.
