Love the Rays to dominate here as Joel Pineiro is making his first start in nearly 2 months. Pineiro was great at home for the Angels but on the road h's been a disaster with a 6.67 ERA this season. TB has 85 AB and .294 average and .800 ops. TB in their last 10 games have been great averaging 6.43 runs per 9 overall and 5.77 vs. RHP. Angels meanwhile face a lefty in DAvid Price who has a 1.99 ERA at home. Angels just .229 average and 1.86 runs per 9 vs. LHP 3.30 overall. Angels are 8-23 in their last 31 vs. AL East and 1-6 in their last 7 road games vs. LH starter while the Rays 20-6 in Prices last 26 as a favorite. Okay so what's the point? They have to win by 2 runs not on the money line. well TB is due to blow a team out with 4 straight one run games what better time with their stud on the mound. The Angels have been awful on the road. 41 losses and only 10 of those 41 have been by only 1 run. 76% of the time they lose by more than one run and I think they do here.
Beckett and Romero have both struggled mightily against each others clubs. Romero has given up 14 ER in his three starts over 15.1 IP with an ERA under 9.00 and Beckett has given up 33 ER over his last 5 game starts vs. the Blue Jays. These clubs combined for 20 runs last night so why not over 9 tonight?
