Went 2-1 over weekend in ncaaf and we look to close the season with a huge game in the national championship I'm 3-0 lifetime in national title games and I'll look to make it a fourth guaranteed or 3 days free!
SEC is 6-0 in their last 6 BCS National Championships including 4 in a row! Of course that is not the only reason why I am going with Auburn here. One thing to consider is the size advantage and each aspect of the game in how Auburn matches up against Oregon and I think they hold some significant advantages most importantly the offensive line vs. the defensive line. Oregon has a very small team their interior line is just 272lbs where Newton at 250 and 6â6 is bigger than all Oregonâs linebackers.  Oregonâs defense is better than Auburnâs statistically, but the schedule and results are miles apart. First of all Oregon did not have a good non-conference schedule and they got pushed around by teams that could run the ball including Stanford who not only averaged 5.71 yards per carry. You had Arizona State run for 210 on 46 carries (4.56 yards per carry) and SECâs Tennessee Poole rush for 162 on 23 carries for a 7.0 ypc average. Auburn by far is the best offense and best rushing team they will face all year. Statistically Oregon looks like they can stop the run, but Auburn rushed for 440 yards against a top rush defense in LSU. I expect Auburn to take care of business in this aspect of the game and itâs a major advantage for Auburn.  Linebackers. Oregon has some great ones in Casey Mathews and Spencer Paysinger, but again they are under sized, and Auburnâs linebackers are actually smaller which to me lends an advantage in match ups. Oregon who likes to go no huddle and run a lot and use their speed. You need fast athletic linebackers to defense. Auburn has gone with a smaller, beefed up safety sized linebackers all year long and thatâs a good match up for teams like Oregon.  Oregonâs pass defense. Youâd say they have an advantage over Auburnâs 107th pass defense, but then again everyone had to pass on Auburn and they faced 7 top 50 passing offenses. Auburnâs Oline will protect Newton enough to where he can throw out of the pocket. This offensive line is led by 4 seniors who didnât allow any pressure from a dominating South Carolina defensive line in the SEC Championship game. On the other side Cal showed you can beat Oregon and slow them down with fake injuries and other strategies. I also believe time off will effect a team like Oregonâs offense more that is based on tempo and timing. The time off will give Oregonâs offense problems getting in synch with over a month off. Look for the best defensive linemen in America (Nick Fairley) to have a major impact on this game. Auburn is ranked 7th in run defense coming out of an SEC conference, now thatâs impressive. This is a team that had to face Arkansas, South Carolina (2 times), Alabama, and LSU compared to Oregon who played in the PAC-10 where you have Stanford and a bunch of marginal teams who donât show up consistently.
