Hofstra is 8-3 away from home and they have a big game with Delaware a team that could hold its own in game like this, but they are -4.8 pts in conference play for a reason. They don't have enough offense and they are coming off a devastating loss at home to VCU in OT. I think it will be hard to get up for this game they are only shooting 40.4% in conference play and they can't get it done on defense with just 3.4 steals per game. Hofstra on the other hand over came a14 point deficit at home recently and I always like backing a team with those kind of stats. They are also nearly 16% better from the FT line on the road than Delaware is at home. They are 12-4 ATS in their last 16 vs. a team with a losing record. Expect Jenkins the CAA leading scorer and disher to have a great game as Hofstra stays in the discussion of the CAA's best teams.
FSU is 9-26-2 ATS in their last 37 as a home favorite. Virginia is 3-1 ATS in their last 4 road games in conference play. They are very young and don't have a lot of offense, but they sure can play defense. Both these teams are defense first teams making this game all about defense which I think will be a good play with a double digit spread. Virginia held Clemson to 13 first half points in a game this year and recently held Miami to 2pts through the 1st 9 minutes of their game. Their FT troubles continue to haunt them but with 6 days off I think they will be prepared to make this game close.
