Miami lost by 11 at Duke the first meeting this year and REggie Johnson had a huge game. I expect him to be solid again at home and I like Miami to play better offensively and better defensively to make this a game decided in the last minutes of the game. Duke is just 4-10-1 ATS in their last 15 as a road favorite 7-12.5 and Miami is 8-1-1 ATS in their last 10 as a home under dog. Miami's defense at home is at 39.7% from the field and they are a good FT shooting team and a good rebounding team at +7.2 reb per game at home. I expect this game to be highly competitive and the 10 points is a steal in my opinion.
Providence has won 4 of 5 in this match up including two at Uconn. Uconn are losers of 4 of 5 and are looking like the team most of us thought they would be. A team that struggles offensively and that's what is going on right now Kemba Walker is averaging below 30% from the field over the past 4 games and besides Lamb their really isn't much of a scoring threat on this team making 9.5 points really too much. Uconn is shooting just 40.1% in conference play and are 11-27 ATS in their last 38 following a straight up loss and 4-10 ATS in their last 14 as a home favorite. This team struggles vs. the zone and with 8 days to prepare Providence has studied the tape and will too also run the zone that has given Uconn troubles really not just this year but in the past few years. Don't forget this game has the two leading scorers in the Big East so should be fun to watch with Marshon Brooks coming off a monster performance at Georgetown in the 83-81 loss.
