The Nationals just finished up an extra inning game they have to now fly from Florida to New York for a day game. They probably won't get into their hotel until 430 tonight and they got to be right back at it tomorrow while the Mets played a day game. Mets also will have some extra energy being the season opener and they have arguably their best pitcher on the mound in RA Dickey. Dickey posted a 1.99 ERA at home and seems to be picking up right where he left off. He had 3 starts vs. the Nationals a year ago and posted a 1.89 ERA. Washington puts Zimmerman out there and Zimm will face a Mets line up that is swinging the bats well hitting .264 with 5.70 runs per 9 vs. RHP this year. Nats are 0-9 in Zimmerman's last 9 road starts and 0-7 when he is on 4 days rest and 14-37 in their last 51 road games vs. a RH starter. I expect Zimmerman to turn the game over to the bullpen which can't be easy for them after being in extra innings and already posting a 6.75 ERA this year before Thursday's game.
