It's not that our advice over the last two days was bad we were right in the game of our POD and oddsline error with the Tigers. 1 run losses always hurt the most, but what's better is a 2-0 day to follow which is what we think we have on these two plays which are -125 or lower going tonight!

Scherzer posts a 12.51 ERA over his last 3 starts, but we will chalk it up to facing hot teams at the wrong time. Here today he goes up against the Mariners and their stud rookie Pineda who posts a 1.64 ERA over his last 5 games, but his xFIP (trending ERA) is +1.03 ERA away from his actual ERA he is by far over due to come back to reality. Why not today against the Tigers who are seeing him for the 2nd time and are 18-8 in their last 26 home games vs. a winning team. Tigers are hot right now scoring 6.14 runs per 9 over their last 5 games while the Mariners continue to struggle with consistently putting runs up on the board just 2.54 in their last 5 games. Ichiro is hitting .149 over their last 21 games. Scherzer is a dominant pitcher at home before his two poor performances he had an ERA under 2.00. He had a span of three straight shut outs at home vs. the White Sox, Blue Jays and Yankees. I think we can expect him to be dominant here and bounce back from his recent struggles. He's 3-0 with a 2.25 ERA vs. the Mariners.

Brewers are a hot team right now 23-9 is the best home record and they play the Cards with the best road record, but still think the Cards are due for a slump on the road and why not when they are missing Matt Holliday. It's Greinke vs. Carpenter a great match up but don't be shocked if this goes over the total today. I do believe Greinke will start to pitch to his abilities and he's shown that recently while Carpenter has started to pitch well he has yet to show it against a good hitting team or ont he road. He's got a5.32 ERA on the road this year and a 6.11 ERA at night. HIs last 2 starts vs. the Brewers were bad giving up 12 ER over 8 IP. Braun and Fielder have 2HR and are 8-25 off of him. Cardinals are now 2-10 in Carpenters last 12 road starts. Greinke faced the Cards in 2008 and 2010 he went 15 innings gave up 9 hits and 2 ER in two wins for the Royals.
