Colorado desperately wants a conference win to prove they belong. At home they haven’t been bad in conference play losing to Washington State after holding a 10 point lead in the 4th quarter and then by 3 to a very good California team. They also got healthy last week getting their best WR and RB back and also their Sr. QB Tyler Hansen 16 TD and 6 interceptions on the season who is more than capable of attacking Arizona’s 105th ranked total defense.

Colorado just faced 5 straight ranked teams and it’s no wonder their defensive numbers have struggled but finally they face a team that can only do one thing well as Arizona has been unable to find balance all year long. That falls right into Colorado’s hands because they are better defending the pass. The last one dimensional attack they faced was Washington State who they had beat. Arizona is allowing 49% conversions on 3rd down on the road and is also -5 in turnover margin. Colorado only has 3 turnovers at home all year so they should have the advantage in turnover margin.
Penalties have also been a real issue for Arizona committing 8.1 penalties per game. Also Arizona is now dead in the bowl hunt so the only game that really matters to them is Arizona State a huge rivalry game which is up next for them. Colorado’s seniors haven’t won at home and I expect them to really play well in this one.
