Brewers -140 (5.5* MLB POD)
I love the Brewers here tonight fresh off a sweep in LA they return home where they are 46-8 in their last 54 home games vs. the Pirates.  Pittsburgh is last in hitting they are hitting .218 with a .272 OBP.  The Pirates are 26th in OPS vs. LHP .642, last with .620 on the road and last with a .613 during night games.  That benefits Randy Wolf who has been inconsistent.  Wolf owns a 2.37 ERA in his 3 home starts vs. teams with an OPS vs. LHP rank of 23+ as he has three starts.  I expect another quality start on Friday night from Wolf who posted a 2.92 ERA in 2 starts vs. the Pirates last year.  The one bat for the Pirates that works is Andrew McCutchen and he’s just 4-23 off Wolf.

Starting for the Pirates is Kevin Correia and he has struggled this year with just a 3.10 K/9 and 2.92BB/9 ratio.  He’s really been fortunate considering opposing hitters have a .227 BABIP against him.  In his last 4 starts at Milwaukee he has a 6.43 ERA.  Brewers hitters post a .843 OPS in 124 AB against him.  The other thing I noticed about Correia is that his velocity is down a bit from a year ago.  He’ll have a tough time out pitching Wolf who is 11-4 in his last 15 vs. NL Central.  The weakness for the Brewers has been the bullpen, but it has a 2.15 ERA over its last 10 games.

Astros +118 (2* bonus)
Mike leake has 10 ER in his last 2 starts vs. Houston who is 16-10 at home.  They did lose 6 straight but they return home with a better pitcher on the mound in JA Happ on Friday night to go against a Reds team that just doesn’t play the same on the raod.  For one Cinci has a .773 OPS vs. LHP, but on the road they are only scoring 2.54 runs per 9 with a .208 average vs. lefties.  Happ has struggled when facing the Reds, but he’s never had a chance to face them at home.

Talk about struggles Leake has had a ton and goes up against a team that has a .923 OPS against him.  Houston is also scoring nearly 2 runs more per game vs. RHP than the Reds are against LHP.  The Astros bullpen has been pretty solid too at home with a 2.51 ERA so they should be able to expel Happ with success tonight.  I think there is a ton of value here tonight on the Astros.
