I think there is a lot of value here in this play. For one the Yankees have gone 9-0 in their last 9 trips to Oakland and for another they are 29-6 in their last 35 overall match ups. Yes, the A's have won 12 of 14 of their own but they spent time beating up Twins and Mariners now they play the Yankees who are 36-13 since starting 21-21. The Yankees will face A.J. Griffin for the first time and though he's been terrific he's relied on a .194 BABIP with a 92 LOB%. It's unrealistic for him to keep those stats up and he's been far more lucky so far. HIs xFIP is 4.31 compared to his 2.63 ERA. Meanwhile the Yankees are #1 in OPS in July, #1 vs. RHP, #1 on the road and they are 3rd during night games. Oakland is 15th in July, 29th vs. RHP, 28th at home and 28th during night games as they face Freddy Garcia. Garcia has been solid over his last three posting a 3.18 ERA and he's held Oakland to .213 average and a .564 OPS in 108 AB. I'll take the Yankees offense, success in Oakland, Garcia's success of late over the Yankees never facing Griffin. Especially when the odds are easy to swallow.

Where to find Freddy?
