I think there is tons of value here on the Titans. The public perception on both teams is slightly off and I think we are getting good value on the Titans at home as nearly a TD under dog. First of all the Steelers are ranked 22nd in total defense and 19th in total offense and have faced the 3rd easiest schedule this year while the Titans defense has struggled big time, but looking at the teams theyâve played itâs easy to see why as the have faced the 5th toughest schedule ( Patriots, Chargers, Lions, Texans, Vikings). You could make an argument that they have played all playoff teams. They actually beat the Lions at home 44-41 and are very capable of pulling an upset here tonight.
First off all the Pittsburgh defense is not what it once was and they are clearly a lot slower. They are allowing 57% conversions on third downs this year on the road as they faced Oakland and Denver and gave up 65 points. There will be points for the Titans here tonight and I like them a lot more than I did a few weeks ago with Matt Hassleback behind center throwing to a group of talented receivers. I think we may even see some success out of Chris Johnson in this one. Titans defense at home has only allowed 37.5% conversions which is pretty amazing considering how bad they have been, but then again they played some of the leagues best offenses.
