Hold your nose with this play, but I think we are getting value backing a 1-3 ATS team vs. a 3-1 ATS team. I also think Notre Dame is in a spot where they can take a breather after back to back hard fought games and some injuries and with USC on deck I see them going through the motions, and trying to just get out of here. Last year they faced a Ball State team that finished 4-8 in a similar situation and won by just 8, the year before they faced Miami Ohio another 4-8 MAC team and won by 35. These MAC teams definitely get up to play Notre Dame, and both teams are not fast paced teams in terms of plays per game. Notre Dame 113th in plays per game and Bowling Green is 95th. Bowling Green has looked awful, but come off a bye, and their DC Van Gorder was the DC here at Notre Dame under Kelly so there is some familiarity. This is the second largest favorite role for Notre Dame in the last 40 years!
