Miami OH +3.5 3.3* play

This would be a POD, but I really can not gauge the motivation of this team or its coaches at 2-9 facing a team that needs 1 win to get bowl eligible. To be honest on paper Miami OH has plenty of advantages in this match up and they directly correlate to their strengths.

Offensively Miami OH is the better team and they have done it against similar competition. I won’t go down the list, but Ohio is 81st in yards per play and even worse on the road. They put up 14 points on Northern Illinois at home while Miami OH put up 41. Andrew Hendrix has been very good in conference play with 15 TD and 3 INT’s. He’s going up against Ohio’s pass defense which is ranked 90th in passing QB defense. Ohio usually struggle when they are unable to stop opposing QB’s and I see them having some issues here.

Miami OH gets 3 extra days to prepare for their last game. They have played well at home on defense allowing just 32% 3rd down conversions while their offense has been really good in conference play in the red zone converting on 72% of their opportunities.
