2.5 Dime Play **Risk 2.5 Dimes

Save $$ and pick up any

This line has jumped up a bit and I'm not buying into Miami at all. This line will most likely move to the key number of 6 by game time and already has in many places. I will buy the half point and call it -120 juice instead of -110.

Georgia Tech could not be stopped by Miami with their triple option and they could not be stopped by Clemson in the opener. The weakness of this team is Nesbitt as a passer. However, I still think he has more talent than many are writing off as a passer. I really look for him to balance the offense tonight with some passes as Miami got torched through the air by Florida State in the opener. Another thing to mention here as Florida State vs. Miami was a great game it is good to know that FSU followed it up with a win that took 12 points against Jax State as 34 point favorites to win 19-9. Why am I bringing this up? It's because Tech beat that same team 37-17 and ran right over them with 335 yards. Tech has a completely different style of play than FSU has which is why I think they can beat Miami straight up tonight. FSU against Jax State were held to 3.0 yards per carry, but against Miami they managed 3.6. I already mentioned how Tech ran all over Jax State for 335 yards and in fact they ran all over Miami last year for a school record 472 yards with an 8.4 yards per carry. I expect a similar approach and much of the discussion about the triple option is that it can be stopped in the ACC because of the speed on defense. Clemson one of the faster team defenses could not stop it and it's because it works well when a team over pursues which is what happens when you have speed on defense.

Tech beat Miami 41-23 last time out and I'm sure Miami has this game in their sites, but just because they want this game does not mean they can have it. They'll have the advantage in the passing game and they can put up points too with Jacory Harris who came off the bench last year in the 4th quarter vs. Tech to throw for 162 yards 2TD on 13-18. Tech also gave up 261 yards and 3 TD's last week to Clemson freshmen Kyle Parker. Again all these yards are coming in garbage time when the team was up big. I expect Miami to struggle more than others think and it will be the match up of the night that will be won by Georgia Tech. Jason Fox one of the best OT's in the ACC facing off against Derrick Morgan DE of Tech. Morgan had an insane game with 10 tackles 4 for a loss including 3 sacks. He was a regular early and often in the backfield. I think this will put too much pressure on Miami early on allowing Tech to hold onto a lead that they will put together in the 1st half. Miami are 10-31 ATS in their last 41 at home including 1-10 ATS favored between 3.5 -10 points. Tech is 4-0 SU and ATS including 2 outright upsets in their last 4 vs. the Caines. I expect this trend to continue as Miami is still too far away.
