BYU played a scattered schedule for being an Independent team, but a closer look reveals that they did not play any elite balanced offenses. Sure teams like Texas, and Georgia Tech, and Wisconsin could run it and Notre Dame could pass it, but facing Washington will be their most challenging task to date. Washington will look to continue recent success in bowl games and Keith Price and Bishiop Sankey should be a force in this game. BYU is ranked 60th vs. the pass and 57th vs. the run while Washington features a rare dual offense with weapons all over the field ranking top 30 in both passing and rushing, total yards and scoring they are top 20. I think their defense is a bit better than the stats indicate when you consider they had to face the likes of UCLA, Oregon STate, Arizona State, Oregon. The common opponent was Boise State, whom they both hosted and Washington had a 14 point advantage. BYU also needed to be +4 turnovers to win by the margin they did and they gave up nearly 500 total yards to Boise which included 151 yards to Ajayi on 23 carries while Washington held him to 93 yards on 23 carries.
