This seems like an obvious play, but I think the NFL avoided having teams from the same division play each others early in the playoffs for years for a reason. We saw Denver and San Diego go under the total last week by 14 points. All these teams are about is defense and they know their opponent extremely well with 4 of the last 5 going under the total. When they go over the total or score a ton of points it's because of turnovers and with so much on the line on Sunday both offenses will be very conservative. Both coaches feel their defense gives them the best shot to win and I believe that to be true.
Both offenses really struggled down the stretching turning opportunities in the red zone into TD's with under 40% in their last 3 combined. Seattle really struggled while the 49ers picked up their defense allowing just 33% red zone TD's in their last 3 games and finished 9th overall while the Seahawks were at #2. I just don't see a lot of TD's in this game and I see both teams trying to establish the run. Seattle has to be extremely careful against the 49ers defense that is healthier than it was earlier in the season and I think Seattle's offense really has no weapons and they know they can't take too many chances in this one.
